- Follow the above-mentioned workflow to land on the Customer Budget grid.
- Click the Create quote button. Doing so takes you to the Create a quote screen.
- Select the customer from the Customer dropdown. As a customer is selected, the reference number is automatically populated in the Reference field.
- Select the project you want to associate the quote with using the Associate project dropdown.
- Similarly, select the currency, issue date, and due date from the Currency dropdown, Issue, and Due date selectors.
- if you select a currency other than CHF you can change the rate in edit rate, under services or products.
- Moving on to the Quote Details section, select the category of sale from the Sale Category dropdown.
- Select whether you want to include VAT or not using the TVA Excluded/Included dropdown.
- Use the item row to record the Service or product, Qt, Units, Hourly Rate, and TVA for the item. Category can be custom by clicking the three-dot icon at the end and selecting Personalize Category.
- To add a new item, click + Add a line button.
- Click the Parameters button to custom fields in item, select language and format, and customize categories in all rows.
- Enter any comments in the Comments field.
- Once the required information is recorded, click the Generate and Send button.
- For more options, click the downward arrow icon next to the Generate and Send button. This reveals a number of options allowing you to Generate without sending, Generate and download, Generate, send and finish, and Save as draft.
