Learn how to add a withholding tax correction in the Sequence-erp application by following these steps.
A withholding tax correction can only be added if the payroll for the current month has not yet been validated and if the current salary month has not been closed. This is because the correction will be applied to the latest payroll, which must therefore remain unvalidated. However, the month for which the correction is intended must be closed.
1. Click on Human Resources in the left-hand side menu.
2. From the dropdown options, select Team.
3. Click on the employee for whom you wish to add a withholding tax correction.
4. Scroll down to the Withholding Tax Corrections module and click on Add Correction.
5. Start by selecting the month for which you wish to apply the withholding tax correction.
6. You can perform three types of corrections: entry, exit, or change.
7. If it’s an entry correction, you must select the reason for joining the company and the effective date of entry.
8. If it’s an exit correction, you must select the reason for leaving the company and the effective date of exit.
9. If it’s a change correction, start by selecting the type(s) of change involved. You can select more than one.
10. If it’s a marital status change, you must indicate the new marital status and the date it takes effect.
11. If it’s a change in the partner’s employment status, indicate whether the partner is working or not, and the effective date of the change.
12. If it’s a change of residence, you must indicate the date the change occurred and the new address.
13. If it’s a change of workplace, you must indicate the new workplace and the date the change took effect.
14. If it’s a change in child deduction, select the child for whom the deduction applies and the effective date.
15. If it’s a change related to church tax, indicate whether the employee pays a church tax or not, and the effective date.
16. If it’s a change in the partner’s income, select whether the partner receives income or not, and the effective date.
17. If the change does not fall under any of the above categories, select Other and indicate the effective date of the change.
18. Then indicate whether the type of code to add is a scale, a predefined code, or an open code.
19. Next, select the corrections to be applied.
20. Finally, click on Save the correction.
