Configure the LAAC Salary Policy in Sequence ERP

Left menu > Human Resources > Salary policy

In Switzerland, LAAC (supplementary accident insurance) complements the mandatory LAA accident insurance. It allows employers to insure their employees beyond the statutory minimum benefits, in particular for salaries exceeding the LAA cap (CHF 148,200 per year), extended benefits in the event of an accident (higher daily allowances, better coverage), and specific conditions depending on employee profiles.

LAAC is not mandatory, but it is widely used to offer better social and salary protection.

1. To complete the LAAC salary policy, click on Human Resources in the left-hand side menu.

LAAC01

2. From the displayed options, select Salary Policy.

LAAC02

3. Go to the LAAC tab.

LAAC03

4. Select the reference year.

LAAC04

5. Create the group to which the CAF policy applies. This allows you to apply specific rules to a set of employees or entities, depending on your organization.

LAAC05

6. Enter the group name and click Confirm.

LAAC06

7. If your company uses electronic transmission via Swissdec, enable the option Electronic Salary Declaration (ELM). This allows the automatic exchange of payroll data with social insurance institutions.

LAAC07

8. Then enter the information related to your compensation fund: Name of the fund/insurer, Insurer number, Insurer UID-BFS, Customer number, Contract number, and Contract validity date..

LAAC08

9. You can upload the LAAC insurance contract (PDF or image) directly into Sequence ERP.

LAAC09

10. Define one or more LAAC solutions. The LAAC policy may include several solutions, depending on the type of employees, the desired level of coverage, and the conditions negotiated with the insurer.

LAAC10

11. For each LAAC solution, specify: Name or number of the insurance solution, LAAC code (defined by the insurer), Insured annual salary from / to (to define the salary range covered by the supplementary insurance), Employee rate (male / female), and Employer rate (male / female).

These rates may vary depending on the contract and the company’s internal policy.

LAAC11

12. Unlike mandatory LAA, the allocation of LAAC contributions may be borne by the employer, the employee, or shared. Rates may differ by gender, in accordance with the insurer’s contractual conditions.

LAAC12

13.  Finally, click Save.

Once the LAAC salary policy has been completed, along with all other policies, you will be able to specify which groups apply specifically to each of your employees, so that the corresponding contributions are correctly applied in their contracts.
